Iranian Zahedi dates, which are also known as butcher dates in some regions of Iran, are dry and semi-dry dates and have a relatively soft and delicious texture without juice.

Zahedi dates are usually known as dry dates. They are meaty and have a wonderful flavor that is often reminiscent of peanut butter. They contain a variety of minerals (such as potassium, magnesium and protein), vitamins (such as vitamin A, vitamin B complex and vitamin C), sugars (such as fructose). It is short, oval, thick, elongated and completely narrow and sharp at the end. Relatively soft and delicious texture is one of the characteristics of this product. The moisture level of these dates is lower than the others, which appears below 14%.

Zahedi date can be cultivated in most of the tropical cities of Iran such as: Fars, Khuzestan, Bushehr and Kerman province. which is the best type in Fars region, their harvest time is usually in the middle of September in different regions.
